Points are only awarded for uploads. You no longer accumulate points for seeding,which is too bad. That's how I racked up over a million points.

The old point system really made this place special.

The new point system is irrelevant. Not only is it really hard to gain any point, you have to save up 5K for any kind of break on gigs.

The old system made me want to turn on my uploads, I don't even THINK about points anymore.


New point system sucks. Was nerfed out of relevance.

because I cant get any “hot new MMA” stuff where I live so it is my only way to help BMMA.

My IP got banned.  I guess I downloaded too much one evening, then I thought I would reseed to get my ratio back up but my computer went down.

I downloaded Ryan Hall 50/50  
I am trying to reseed but no one seems to want it.  How in the world can I get my ratio up if no one wants what I downloaded?  
What!?  Do I have to send money to be able to download more stuff?

if noone is downloading what you have theres nothin you can do about it, just leave it seeding and eventually someoneone will probably download it

you should download some freeleech files, only the upload counts on these so they are a great way to increase your ratio, i'd reccommend the pride or ufc packs because they always have leechers.

also points can be exchanged for upload credit, they can be earned by uploading torrents or by clicking on your points at the top of the page and selecting the 'Do Stuff Get Points' link

In my opinion the old rules were better.
Seeder with a slow connestion like mine (512kb) arent able to upload hugh torrentfiles.
I'm seeding since last week but got no extra points.

bibo - trust me when i say your connection is fast enough for you to be ok here.u can only upload stuff other people are intersted in and users are downloading.so just keep seeding everything u can for the longest time u can, popular torrents will give u more upload but its all about seeding long term.
also u are currently downloading 5 torrents with a total size of around 20 GB..u dont have to download that much if u have a bad ratio.

Logical right, but I want the files I load till yet.
If I want them and behave like you suggest me, it would last to long. Maybe it's my fault, that I live in a small village with the smallest DSL-connection in germany. I'm seeding nearly 20 torrents but more than 15 kb upload is not possible. My pc stayed turned on over days - I can't do more. In the past I got points for the time my computer stays tuned, so I could increase the ratio, but now I have to look how my ratio decrease more and more.
I agree with all who demand a 1:1 ratio, but this doesn't work in my case.
Excuse my bad english.

bibo - like i said, u can do ok with your connection IF YOU TRY.

1.u can upload torrents of your own.
2.u can pick and choose whice torrents to grab.u downloaded 277.11 GB in 6 months and currentlly downloading 20 + more.that is A LOT.u dont have to download everything u see.
3.u can donate to the site and get upload credit, this also helps us keep the site going and cover part of the servers costs.

A upload of a torrent with 0,5 GB will last days by my uploadspeed  - you understand?
I'm not downloading 20 or more (currently 4 torrentfiles) and I only download torrents which I need. If I would download some events what I never have my ratio had stuck fom the beginning.
My contribution to the site is the time I seed.
you should see the difference betwen users with fast and users with slow connections.

The only thing I see you get points for here is 0.5 points per forum post. I tried to do one of the offer/game things, but the site looks broke. This is a really nice site, it looks to have a lot of support, and seeding isn't even that hard. Plenty of free leech stuff to build your ratio, just download them to build it up, points shouldn't even be needed.

I like this site, it seems there some glitches and a couple of things need an overhaul. For as much traffic as this place seems to be there should be an IRC chat room that works and isn't barren, and more forum activity.

We should just get rid of points. It only benefits high speed seeders who don't need any help with their ratio anyway.

People like me, with terrible UL, just don't have any incentive to use the point system.
